I have an LG slim (pretty sure it’s an LG GP08NU10, although I am not at home so I can’t check.). Also have an old dell. Very basic PC. I am using Shrink and Decrypter for the most part. I have burned about 125 DVDs so far on the burner total ... so it's pretty new ... and had virtually a 100 percent rate. Maybe 1 or 2 coasters, but I really don’t think I have had any due to hardware or software ... only because of my mistakes. All of a sudden, I am getting coasters. Shrink works fine, then Decrypter says that it works fine, but when I put the DVD into my player, it won’t recognize it. Also, PC will not recognize it. However, it always works when I burn the same ISO a second time. I don’t know why, but I feel like the burner or PC needs a good ‘cleanup’ for lack of a better word. I keep it pretty well defraged, but I am wondering if there is anything I can do to keep the system as a whole ‘well-oiled?’ Also, why would Decrypter be saying that the burn was a success (it never reports errors), but then have a DVD that won’t work? Thanks for the help.

I would think, that based on your description, that either the media is marginal with
your burner, or the burner is giving out.

Try using the Nero program CD/DVD Speed to check the "Disc quality".
