i currently have a 32" sony bravia lcd tv but realised i spent alot of money on it and could of got something alot bigger for the same price, i am not planning on wall mounting and will be playing abox 360 alot which type of tv would be the best for me dlp projection, plasma, lcd or rear projection, and again im not planning on wall mounting and thats the main reason why people always buy plasmas and lcds right?becasue they dont take up much room.

i have a 50 inch sony lcd, just got it about 5 months ago. as far as tvs above 40 inches, their not so good for certain types of games, for instance FPS seem a bit off to me, although the games themselves look fantastic. i dont know if its some weird lag in the tv, or whether i cant process all the stuff going on in a bigger tv, so for those type of games your 32" is the essence of perfection.
but............sports games rpgs, and racing games all worked fine for me, although im not as fanatical about the former genres, i tend to analyze every little thing about my gameplay and tweak settings for hours, but when i play on a HD 27" panasonic, i play far better.
but with all that said, a man has to have a large television, its an easy decision really. check into sonys larger lcd tvs, some models are very affordable, and are a great deal for the money, mitsubishi is also sweet, ive seen 55-58" lcds from them for around 2k, i researched lcd tvs for a few months before buying mine, and i kept coming back to the sony though.
    good luck

at least you can take comfort in the fact you have the top of the line 32". im actually very interested in the bravia line, one thing has held me back, the weight of those things is ridiculous, trying to move one you need to buy your buddies a six pack each, its like moving a hot tub!
