I have a hauppauge win theatre tv tuner that has surround sound. It's about 3-4 years old and has done well. I tried using a newer ati tv wonder which is just stereo and had to go back to the win theatre one because trust me, surround sound is sooo much better than just stereo. I'm considering a new tv tuner but need to have surround sound and 10 bit decoding. Anyone know of one like that? This brings me to my other problem. When recording programs using the tv tuner, now the audio is all screwed up. It kind of stutters and is out of sync as you get further along. Didn't use to do this so I assume my tv tuner card is going out? The video is ok though. Playing anything else is ok, just recordings from the tv tuner. thanks
i hate the infamous out of sync thing! arrrr! i am stuck using wmv, which trust me, is not watchable!
