I have a decent amount of Real media files to convert eventually into vcd (actually kvcd). I didn't know how to go about converting them so I found boilsoft RM converter v2.21. I initially thought great this is pretty easy. I have tried both decoders that are offered by the program and one of two things happen. I get a file that is totally out of sync (audio & video). Or the program freezes in the middle of a conversion. I have been using the DivX 5.2.0 and a PCM audio codec. It lists Indeo, Huffyuv, and several MPEG-4 video codecs. Mainly Ogg vorbis audio codecs are listed aside from the PCM. Is my problem potentially caused by the codec selection and is there somewhere I can find a list or comparison of the different codecs?
visit the link http://www.topvideopro.com/video-ripper/video-converter.htm The video converter can rip RM/RMVB to VCD/SVCD or any other popular video formats. Ripping to SVCD can bring about better quality.
Thanks I'll give it a try. I gave up after trying two different programs that would either give me out of synch audio or some other problem.
