Hello, I have a .mov file and i would like to be able to mask certain faces that don't want to be identified in video. What's the best software for doing so? Thanks in advance.
I don't know what's best - but I know it's possible using VirtualDub and the Wipeout filter. Because the source is in .mov format, it must be converted to AVI (Xvid and mp3) using AviDemux. The converted file is loaded into VirtualDub and the Wipeout filter applied (see the hints in the link). The file is then saved (you must have either of the XviD, DivX or FFDSHOW filters installed). The other way is to use commercial software which implies some expense and a learning curve (a Google search for 'blur face video' gets lots of results). http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/318597-Problem-using-wipeout-filter-in-virtualdub?p=2051407
