I have 2 XP pro PC's. One is wired to the router and is basically a file server. The other is connected to the router via wireless and is my download machine. My theory is to add 2 network cards to the machines and directly connect them to increase transfer speeds. Am I on the right track and does anyone have suggestions on the best way to do this?

    Thanks!

if already connected to each other via the router than why put in netcards in, just setup small office/home network wizard!

My theory is...LOL...the wireless B only transfers at 11mbs whereas if they were directly connected the transfer rate would be expotentially faster. Please correct me where wrong...
