I have this converter program, that converts AVI to so-called DVD, which ends up being mpeg. Does it matter which extension i burn it in? Cause this avi to mpeg is a estimated 5 hour conversion. So if it does make a difference i'll let it convert, otherwise im going with AVI

The major difference is whether or not you wish to view your movies on a standalone dvd player of not.

Of course for most people that's a world of diffence, no?
