More info please ... as in, where'd you get the file, etc.? Your own DVDs that you're backing up don't turn into .avi files ... if this is a downloaded file, that's piracy and we can't help you here ... pls. read the forum rules esp. #5 ... http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2487.
Hi Mike, Try using TMPGEnc DVD Author to convert your MPEG files to VOB's, then burn to disk - BTW, Welcome to the CLub, Pete Karen2003, I looked all over, where did the "Piracy" come from ???
As I wrote, DVDs that we back up ourselves don't turn into .avi files ... but that's apparently a common downloaded file format. And I ASKED him if he'd downloaded it, I didn't assume he had. And he didn't answer.
Just remember Karen we’re not the cyber-police. Our rules state: Our new friend Mike hasn't broken any rules at all, he hasn't asked about, spoken about or linked to anything at all, he's just asked a question, and that is why we are here We need your sharp eyes and your diligent here, ya just have to cut our new friends a bit "O" slack when they haven't done anything. There are too many we have to ride herd on and step on cause they are out of line (lol) - you'll have plenty of those - sometimes too many No harm done, I made the same mistakes when I was coming up through the ranks ) Peace, Pete
karen2003, I used to think the same think about avi files. But one who has personal video footage might put it on their pc using the avi format to save space.
OK, guys. Point taken. I was thinkin' how cute I'd look in the cop outfit though ... Thanks & good night for now!
