Bin 146 for Coolsat 5000?

Hello, has anyone got the NEW BIN 146 for CS5000? I am running 145 and is scrambled.

No new bin yet/ Turn off auto roll and inter keys manually until the fix is out.

Install the new bin file.

Download the 3 files to your desktop:

Pro Loader
Factory 100 Bin
and Latest version of bin

Connect your receiver to your pc with the 9-pin wire that came with your box:


Open the loader - click on auto detect and it will tell you if your pc and box are communicating. Should show version installed on your box.
Click on browse - go to desktop and select the Factory 100 bin.
Click Connect and Start - this will load bin file
Click finshed when done.

Now do the same for the newest bin:

Click on browse - go to desktop and select the lastest bin - 147 right now.
Click connect and start - this will load the bin file
Click finished when done.

Now hook your receiver to your TV:

Do a factory reset.
Select your language
Select autoscan for channels.
Choose the same satellite as you used before and start the scan.
When finished, exit and save everything.

Now sit back and wait for the picture to come on.
BE PATIENT - it may take up to 10 minutes.

Out of 3 files one is exe the rest 2 are the same files.

And when tried with one of the it never completed installing it keep saying sending.....

LOOK IN THE FORUMS AT THE SITE WITH THE FILES ARE AND YOU WILL FIND ALL YOUR ANSWERS. GETTING FILES FROM ONE SITE AND THEN COMING HERE TO GET INFORMATION INSTALLING THEM IS INSANE. USE YOUR HEADS. IF YOU GO TO SOME BLOG OR WHAT EVER TO GET FILES YOU NEVER WHAT YOU ARE GETTING.

I KNOW I HAVE THE CAP LOCK ON, BECAUSE MAYBE SOMEONE WILL READ THIS AND LISTEN. THIS IS GETTING TO BE A BUNCH OF B.S.

I recently bought my CS-5000 box off of someone who was supposed to get me free d..network, it worked fine the first week and now it doesnt do anything, he's been ducking me ever since and i gave him a pretty penny for his services. I dont know much about doing this but i have taken your advice that was offered to another user getting the exe file. I dont have the 9-pin cable though, do you know where i can buy one that would fit my cs-5000 box. also if you can offer me any insight on how to do this i would really appreciate it, thanks.

These receivers require maintenance. They don't just work for ever, but it would be nice. LOL

When they go down, you need to update your key codes which you can find at tvkeyz.com.

First you need to goto your menu and goto installation>autoroll options and turn them all off and exit and save.

Then to enter the key codes, goto channel 8282 and you will het the edit page for the key codes. You have to goto either 1 or 2 at the top for either Dish service or Expressvu service. When you are on the correct page, you need to edit the 4 long lines with 8-2 digit characters. When you get the codes, they come in 2 lines of 16 characters each. Split them in the middle to create 4 lines. The first line is 86 - divided in 2 gives you lines 10 & 11. The other is 96 - divided in 2 is lines 20 & 21. To edit the lines, move using your remote arrows to the first line. Numbers can be entered using the numeric pad. Letters can be entered by hitting the OK button to open the characters menu. Edit all 4 lines. When finished, exit and save everything. The screen will show 'Scrambled', just wait and the picture will come on as long as you entered the code correct.

You may have to do this several times for a day or two until a new bin file is released fixing the autoroll problem.

Keep looking through the forums for the mention that a new version bin is out. When it is, you need to get it to load in your receiver.

You would need to go to buy an RS-232 (known as a 9-pin) cable at a computer store or something like Best Buy.

You then need to download the Pro-Loader, the Factory 100 bin & the latest Bin (147) which you can find here:

Now once you have everything, follow these instructions:

This is generally what everyone has to go through each time they zap our autoroll feature. You may go 2 weeks with no problem, or you could go 6 months. You never know. They try to make life miserable.

Seems tough the first time round but you will get very used to doing this.

 

Thanks that was very helpful, i have another question, the signals are running off of 2 satellites, 1 runs the 110 & 119 channels, and the other runs 91, how would i put the codes in for that if they are different channels, would it be the same way you just told me?

If you are using 2 satellites to get expressvu and dish, you would have to change both.

Channel 8282 - 1 is dish and 2 is expressvu
