    My pc is recognizing all .BIN files as SIT files and Alcohol doesn't recognize them. Please advise what I need to do, thanks.

    You mean all the files that you know are BIN files are now renamed to SIT files?

    I've installed mucho stuff lately, but Shoey's reccomedation fixed it. Thanks!
    One last ?, do I need to .cue file in order for a program to install correctly from the hard drive? Or is it only for buring?
    If I DL a .bin file, extract it to my HD and install it will it work or do I have to burn it using the .cue file?
    I have tried extracting and installing this one prgram many times with no luck, do I need to burn it w/ the .cue file before it will work?

    In most cases you wont really need the CUE file... its just a bunch of text pointing to the BIN file

    In what "cases" does one not need the cue file?
    Be precise or specific.

    @BVaughn,

    I have yet to actually need the CUE file for anything. I would have said "never need the CUE file" but I presume there would be instances that a CUE file is absolutely necesarry that I am not aware of and hence I said "most"

    SecuROM, Lserlock, ProtectCD-VOB, ProtectCD V5, CD-Cops, PhenoProtect, PhenoProtect 2, StarForce V1\2, DiskGuard, Dummy Files, Illegal TOC. All these protections need the aid of reading\writing sub-q channel (data\audio)= bin& cue file format(strongly recommended). If I were to download any of these cd protections, I would be looking for bin& cue format.
