Did you install any new components to your PC (Software/Hardware)?

Have you set BIOS to its' default setting & tried booting up then? Your posts are [bold]REALLY[/bold] difficult to read, any chance of spelling your words properly? I had to read it 4 or 5 times to decipher it!

That's the point, you need to set the BIOS to default [bold]FIRST[/bold], try to get the thing running , THEN by all means change it to performance! Forget performance settings for now! & Yes it is far more legible!

Also, re-seat the RAM, this can be a major source of boot up problems. Usually, though, if the RAM in not seated you will get nowhere fast!
Have you tried removing & replacing the IDE cable?, I am wondering if it is seeing the HD properly.

well tried that to no avail.took all the cables out replaced them with old pc cablessame result ,so i swapped the boot system so the dvd boots first then it gives me f1 to resume or f2 to start in default mode, i choose default mode it started to check my hdd,it worked ,so i rebooted ,and its gone again, any ideas ? thank u

do you have another hd to try out to see if old hd is the problem or motherboard? can you try the hd in another computer to see if proble follows or not? is the drive jumpered as master or cable select?

doesn't matter what os is on it even if it has dos on it as need to see if board identifies the hd & if boots, go into safemode so won't find new hardware & try to load new drivers.

    !SORRY!If i could intervene for a sec.

i have pc that been giving me some problem, one of my friend told me what the problem might be after i explained it to him.

He said that my bios needs updating, but the problem is i dont have the book that came with the mother-board so basicaly i need to know if theirs a way for me to get the NAME OF THE MOTHERBOARD.

P.S: And how would i go about updating it.
