I have 30 days until my bitdefender 2009 license expires. I am really happy with the product, but I was also leaning towards trying out kaspersky for a year.
Should I just stay with bitdefender and renew for another year or get kaspersky?

Yet clamwin beats all of them well into second place and lower.

That avira thing might be good.. but repairing a messed up to hell and back xp machine with it on last tuesday it doesn't protect and is a classic piece of mitherware.. so bad that people disable it defeating the object of having it installed in the first place.
Drove me up the wall in 5 minutes so it had to go.

Sorry to burst the bubble but ClamWin doesn’t even get in the running……

ClamWin is a geeks complex solution that has the advantage of open source should you like to code in it. If you are not a “dyed in the wool” Linux user, stay away from it.

That’s why it is never included in the better independent testing of AV’s. Even in the FREE category, Avira Antivir and AVG are at the top of the list and definitely easier and more professional to use.
