Anbody know where or when the compatability bitsetting data will be avaliable for the new 4x burners - specifically TDK 420n (NEC ND-1100). I contacted both TDK and NEC. Neither claimed to know nothing about it. My DVD player (Toshiba SD 3109) will not play burned DVD+RW's. Looked on dvdplusrw.org and sure enough my player requires the media to have compatability bitsetting done to it. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Civilization has brought Evolution to a screeching halt[/small]

From what I can gather, NEC still has not released the technical specs which will allow the bitsetting code to be written.

I am thinking about buying a TDK indidvd and I also have a toshiba SD3109. I was wondering if you had any success creating a DVD+R which the toshiba can read. If so, what brand media did you use and what software? Thanks
