So you didn't try to play fable 3 since you updated?

 

No I havnt tried bc I gave my copy to a friend and he says it will not work since he has updated to the new console.

 

yea dont try it till new fw comes out. and i will not be playing any new releases until i hear from others that they work on the new dash. no point in risking being flagged when we know for sure that will do it.

 

Well I'm not worried about being banned from live since I don't go on anymore, so I'm not worried about being flagged as I am about being instant banned without even going online.

 

thats the thing though. if you play an ap2.5 title on the kinect dash when you are offline it will make the console behave as if it is banned. at least that is what people found when loading fable 3 on kinect dash which resulted in their profiles going "corrupt" when the hdd was swapped to another console.

 

so your saying this is basically a instant ban?

 

well you arent fully banned till you connect to live but yes pretty much. i mean if the console flags itself then it is safe to say that when it connects to live that it will communicate that flag to the MS servers.

Now theoretically maybe there is a way to remove this "flag" i dont know but i would imagine it is possible.

 

This is VERY interesting. I can't believe I missed this info. So that error that you get from fable 3 affects your system indefinitly and causes "ban like" symptoms on your 360 (even though your flagged, not officially band)...wow, Interesting...

 

unless i totally misunderstood it myself then yes thats what i got out of it.
the peole that tried fable 3 on kinect dash said that their profiles were corrupted when moved to another console and that xval was reporting bad data. and this was offline and online

 

Oh damn I don't want my profile and game saves to be corrupted.

 

If they do, just uncorrupt them. There are easy programs to do so.

 

So is it true to say that if you haven't updated to the new dash, then it is ok to play fable 3 and other ap2.5 games?

 

I played (and beat) fable 3 before dash, didn't update. checked to see if i was flagged...all is well.

 

Black Ops is definitely wave 6 according to the version of ABGX360 I am working on (Detects wave 1 to 9).

I'm confused, I'm confused, I thought all backups didn't work on the new kinect dash but it sounds like some have done this and they work? Am I just misunderstanding things? My console is already banned so getting flagged is nothing

 

Any chance of sharing the mod to get later waves recognised in abgx360 please?

Only Fable 3 refuses to boot (unless Kinect games are also affected, but I haven't tried any).

 

why cant people talk about it? were already doing illegal activities by downloading and uploading games

 

Of course, it's not quite done yet - but when it is, and has been tested properly I will do.

 

We can't talk about it for that particular reason. It is illegal. You should not discuss downloading and ESPECIALLY uploading games. The proper way is to backup your own games. This conversation will also ban you from the forums (and I am not talking ban your name, we are talking IP). So be nice, follow the rules/laws, and there wont be trouble.
