Blank screen on my softmod xbox

Hi everyone,

My original xbox has a softmod running Evolution X with the MS Dashboard. It was working fine last time i used it and now it turns on and goes to the XBOX logo and then a blank screen. Anyine know why it would do that and how to fix it?

 

Have a disc in your optical drive? Xbox stuck in hd?

That could be. It sounds like its trying to read a disc but there is no cd in there. Any idea's how to fix this?

 

I was able to get it to work just by turning on by opening the tray and closing by hand but for some reason im back to the origian screen as if i never had it modded! In the memory though it shows all my games, the linux installer,Unleashed launcher is all there still. Can i just try to re-softmod and still recover everything i had b4?

 

What did you mod with before?
Do you have a copy of your eeprom.bin file?

 

I used splinter cell to mod last time. Im not sure what the eeprom.bin file is.
