    You mean boot it without a modchip/swap magic? In that case, no there's no way around it

    I have a modded PS2 but its a special mod. I work for a company and i have a test/debugged kit and need to patch it to a "master" disc to play. It works on certain ISOs but a few i get this message. BR2 and MLB 2k6 are the latest two i got this on.

    not sure what kind of patch you use but i can tell you that Bloodrayne 2 contains garbage files that had to be removed, then the ISO had to be rebuilt to work with Swap Magic

    You know, I'm going to ask you to use the search function this time. Have a look in the sticky, there's one with all the programs you need for PS2 related stuff.

    Well I've never had to rebuild a game, but it's steimy's guide, shouldn't be a problem with it :)

    should be very easy
    here is a great site for PS2 tools
    http://ps2burns.host.sk/tools.html

    1. DVD Decrypter Mode->ISO->Read
    2. take that ISO file and open with ISO Buster, then extract to a folder (keep ISO Buster Open when it is done as you will need the file order when rebuilding)
    3. It has been so long now i forget which folder has the garbage files so you will have to look in them. But the files will actually be named garbage, so find them and delete them.
    4. rebuild the ISO with Nero

    So after doing this the way your guide says i will have a master disc right? Using the "With ISO Buster and CD/DVDGEN" tutorial?

    i have no idea what you mean by "master disc"
    you will have a back up copy of the game, minus the unwanted garbage files.
    You can boot this up with Swap Magic.
    If you have a good mod chip rebuilding should never be needed.

    dude none of you people know anything about using a test/debugging playstation? I thought you guys knew what you were talking about. So it appears i know more that you......j/k. I need to make every ISO a "master" ISO so i can play the titles on my test kit. I have the best mod chip ever because it comes from the sony factory stock inside my PS2. Anyway, after i did all this the backup doesnt load. The playstation logo shows but after that its crashed on a black screen.

    Chill mate, and watch your language while you are at it.

    People here don't spend all their time in the forum, you'll need a bit of patience waiting for help :)
