i am modding my xbox with a blue theme so as you may have guessed i need a blue power eject light well after quite a while of surfing the web i could only find a couple of places that sold them and the cheapest one was $25 which i think is way too much so does anyoneknow where i can get a CHEAPER one or i was going to try and clipo the green LED off and just solder a blue one on does anyone know if that would work? thank you for your thoughts and answers they are greatly appreciated -eurusjf
$25, what a rip off! You can do this yourself for $1.00 if even. First off, there are two LEDs you will need to replace. Next, the Xbox leds are triple legged, and that is what many use to replace them w/. Check out some of these triple legged LEDs at this site, http://123leds.com/3-mm-bicolor-c-21_34.html Go w/ a bi color (multi-color) LED. Probably the blue/white would look the coolest. If you want, you can put just a regular double legged LEDs in to replace them also.
if i got a double color (blue/White) would the blue light be the light that was always on and the white light the one that was the light that turned on when there was a problem???
Yup, you got it. Or you can put it in so that the white lights are on and the blue lights are the error lights.
