    This tutorial is intended to show you how to take xbox files stored within your computer, turn them into an .iso (image), and burn that image to disc(DvD-R) as working backup.

    What you need to accomplish this:
    ->Qwix 1.01:http://www.teamavalaunch.com/qwix/
    ->NERO:AVAILABLE on Afterdawn
    ->Internal/External DvD Burner installed on your PC/Laptop
    ->Blank DvD-R Media

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
    1. Open Qwix, Click on Create ISO and select local folder
    [IMG]

    2. Click on browse and navigate to the directory where the game files are stored
    [IMG]

    3. This image show the game files you wanted transformed into an iso in a folder on the desktop called xbox
    [IMG]

    4. Now select CREATE ISO
    [IMG]

    5. Select where you want the ISO image to be saved
    [IMG]

    6. Once complete, you'll get this message
    [IMG]

    [bold]NOW IT'S TIME TO BURN IT TO DISC[/bold]

    1. Open NERO, cancel the new compilation window that pops up, Go to file and select Open
    [IMG]

    2. Now open the folder of the iso image you just made
    [IMG]

    3. Select the correct file type so you can see your iso image
    [IMG]

    4. Select the iso image and click open
    [IMG]

    5. Select the disc format, of course its DvD
    [IMG]

    6. Make your settings look like the ones below and burn your backup
    [IMG]

    7. When it's done, you'll see this message
    [IMG]
    -------------------------------------------------------------------

    If you wanna go the extra mile with your backups you can make game disc covers or even sleeve covers for the exterior casing.

    Hope this helps out at least one person!!

    the tutorial is ok, but you really do go about it hte hard way.
    you can use Qwix to extract the game and create the image in 1 go. Instead of copying the game to the hard drive first.
    Just use the ftp folder button instead. and instead of opening nero and telling it to open the iso, just keep a shortcut to nero in the folder where you save your iso's that way all you have to do is drag the iso onto the shortcut and nero will automatically recognise it and will be ready to burn. then just hit the burn button.

    You're right and that is how I do it as well but I got a lot of PMs where people said they had the files in their computer and wanted to make a backup to disc but didn't know how so [bold]THIS ONES FOR YA'LL[/bold]

    I'm working on more tutorials right now...

    Quick Question: Do I need to ask mooderators to close my tutorials so it sticks in bold at the top of the forum list?

    The moderators might look over this thread and sticky it, otherwise if you want it stickied you will need to PM one of them to see if they will do it for you...

    No big deal...As long as people can see it and benefit from it I'm cool with whatever. Maybe the staff will just see it like you guys did and take it upon themselves to post it.

    uronagain, yeah I have used Qwix. I just don't have the time to make a guide w/ full pictures for it.

    Hook up one end of the crossover cable to your computer's NIC (the ethernet port) and the other end to your Xbox. You may or may not need to turn back your IP address to "obtain IP address automatically". That depends on your ISP (internet service provider).

    You use the programs seperately, not together. You can use either Craxtion or Qwix to create the Xbox ISO, and then use DVD Decrtyper, Nero, Alcohol 120 to burn the X-ISO.

    sub07, Make sure that you have winrar as it comes in a .rar Open it up and double click Qwix.exe
