Okay, you folks on here had me convinced into getting Any DVD to Back Up all of my movies with. I downloaded the trial version and as soon as it expired, I bought a key from them (thanks to the helpfull discount one of you guys helped me with) but I have a problem. I click on the key and it says the whole "C:/Program Files/SlySoft/AnyDVD is now regitered. PLease restart AnyDVD..." thing....which appears good. But I restart AnyDVD and it still says that my trial period has expired. I have tried to unistall AnyDVD, re-install it...and then use the key I downloaded from them, but it still does this. What am I doing wrong?!?!?!?! Thanks folks, I know you will help me out as always.
thread teleported to relevant forum. i don't use AnyDVD but am sure someone here will know the answer. maybe you need to contact Slysoft...
Uninstall AnyDVD and delete the program folder uasly under C:/PROGRAM FILES/SLYSOFT Now lets delete the registery entries on the program. Go to START/PROGRAMS/ACCESIORIES/RUN Now another window will come up when you click RUN. Type in (regedit) and click ok when the next window comes up (registry window) do the folowing. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USSER/SOFTWARE/SLYSOFT/Then Right click on AnyDVD when the pop-up window appers click on DELETE in the list to delete the registry information that windows has stored for that program. Now close out the registery window and reboot. Then install AnyDVD with the new key ANYDVD sent you.
i tried all of that but when i tried to run regedit i window pops up saying that another application is using the program....even when i have nothing else running....????
okay...i finally figured out what was not letting me open the regedit.... opened it...found slysoft....click on it....and there was only one thjing inside...tried to delete it...wouldnt let me....so i just deleted the slysoft folder.....rebooted....installed it again...still says trial period has expired....click exit....open the key....and it still does the same thing.... THIS time...i go to regedit...and slysoft inst even under software????
i have 2 hard drives and have tried installing/removong on both.... could i be having this problem because after i installed on the C drive and the trial ran out i installed the trial on the e drive?
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USSER/SOFTWARE/SLYSOFT/Then Right click on AnyDVD when the pop-up window appers click on DELETE in the list to delete the registry information that windows has stored for that program. Also see if there is a regiestry for AnyDVD under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/SLYSOFT/ANYDVD and delete that entry as well.
