(bold)Why Don't All DVD Players Play DVD's(/bold)

    I tried viewing a recently made dvd in my dvd player and it kicks the dvd back out without playing. The dvd does work in my computer and my playstation, so what am i doing wrong???

    Sounds like it doesn't like the brand or format of media you are using.
    Here's some questions:
    No problems playing the originals with the dvdplayer?
    What's the model of your player?
    Does it play -+ formats?
    What brand of disc and format are you using?
    Burn speed?

    what the lovely binkie7 said and also these questions:

    what did you use to burn with?
    did you recieve any errors and if so can you produce them for us to see?

    Was the original source a dvd or was it some files you converted to mpeg2 and then attempted to burn.

    A computer can differentiate between most formats and play everything as long as you have the codecs installed .A standalone dvd player is much more picky as it requires mpeg2 compatible files unless its a divx player

    Unless you got the highest premium blank media,(Verbatim)You'd get better results burning at 4x or less. I learned the hard way. I got a nice collection of coasters.
