I went to burn video files to a dvd, it had failed the first time because my driver was in PIO mode so I reset it to DMA. So I go to burn this time and right under "burn process started at 4x" in the window it says "Book Type automaticlly set to : DVD-ROM". Now what is going on? Ive never had this problem before. Anyone know how to change this???

The dvd-rom booktype is probably what you want. That is the most compatable format for standalone dvd players. If you do want to change it then go to nero drive speed and change the booktype settings.

Well what im actually worried about is the DL is booktyped as DVD ROM as well. Also when I try to change these settings they just revert back to dvd rom anyway. Its says it has been changed but it wont. Is this a problem?

Nero should automatically booktype your discs for you as default. This is a preferred setting as it increases compatability with standalone players. You can change it in Nero's options but you may have to change the setting each time you make a burn.
