Hey guys, So I just flashed my TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632D drive from the DE03 firmware to the Samsung SC04 firmware and now IMGBurn will not change my booktype. When I change it, IMGBurn gives me the success! message but when I click the Device tab, the Book Type of my DVD+R DL media is listed as just that, and not DVD-ROM. Now it really doesn't make a difference as my player will play any DVD+R just fine, but I would like to booktype it and make the chances of compatibility with about any player much greater. I downloaded a little utility that appears to be made by BenQ and it says that my drive does not support booktyping, even though it did when I had the old DE03 firmware...any help would be greatly appreciated!
hmmm...I did a little experiment and checked the disc info on a couple of discs that I just burned with IMGBurn (with the SC04 firmware) and under the Physical Format Information (Last Recorded): the booktype is indeed listed as DVD-ROM. So perhaps the drive is actually automatically bitsetting my DVD+R's but it's just saying that it can't do it lol...which seems really weird and if anyone can shed any light on why that might be, let me know, and thanks!
