Hi there, I'm new here and I'm hoping someone can help me with this question!

I'm wondering why my system and boot partitions are on separate drives, and what exactly this is going to effect.

My C: Drive is an SSD which I have Windows installed on, my D: drive is a 1.5 TB RAID 1, and my E: Drive is a 1.5 TB drive by itself. All four of these drives show up on my RAID controller, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

    What size is your "SSD"?
If it's like (64GB) then your retail put your boot there so the system will boot faster, and "NO" it will not effect anything.
I have two SSD, one with the system and boot, the other one I use to do my Video with.
