I need to reformat my hard drive so I am attempting to use the xp pro installation cd. My computer automatically checks for cds to boot from at startup and says press any key to boot from cd. What the problem is, is that my keyboard (and all keyboards I've tried to use on my machine freezes up no matter if I use a usb connection or a ps2 port. The lights for locks will go on but I have no control over the keyboard until the log in screen. Is there a way to fix the keyboard problem or automatically reboot from a cd without having to use my keyboard during startup? EDIT: I know I can format from right clickign on the drive and using format, but I still really would like to be able to access bios and such, so if anyone knows anythign about this keyboard problem, any help would be greatly appriciated.
to enter your bios you need to tap usually your numberpad .del key as soon as you switch on, it should say which key if its not that one when you switch on, you have to bee quick or you'll miss it.
