I hope its something minor. But last night/this morning I keep trying to boot my computer on. I get to the blue Hewlett Packard screen, and it will sit there and not go any further. So i turn it off............wait a bit, and same deal. Any clue/suggestions?
hi you going to have to be more spsifec then that mate like if this when you computer bios is posting (ie Booting). do you see the bois booting and do you get past if you do then, try hitting the F8 key and boot in LAST GOOD KNOW CONFIGERARION and if you do not get that far then you could have hardware problem.
sorry, i figured it was a bit vague No bios, just the initial Hewlett - packard screen, after that screen is when the bios kicks in. Im actually typing on this computer. After i got home from work, tried it a few more times and still have the same issue. So I just figured id unplug everything, give it some time, and plug er back up. It worked, but it still seems like it stays on the blue HP screen a lot longer than usual. What would cause that?
i would try setting you bios to its defualt setup because you could have set somthing wrong some where along the line. if that dose not cure it post spec and i will find a bios update that might cure it aswell. also do you have a lot of things on usb (ie external hdd , pen drives ect) if you have try unpluging them , you could be trying to draw to much power from the power supply. if thats the case you comeputer should boot.
its possible on the bios, but I cant recall the last time ive went in there and change things around and no on the usb ports. Only one thing is hooked to a usb port and that is my printer/scanner ill keep ya informed
