booting WinXP Pro using USB harddrive

    Under boot sequence in system startup, there is an option for booting my computer using an usb harddrive. My external harddrive is installed with windowXP Pro but my computer is not responding when I tried to get it start up using the boot sequence I mentioned above. Any idea? Please let me know. Thank you.

    Have a look in the BIOS as it boots up and make sure that the drive is seen and selected as 1st boot drive option.
