..All of a sudden ,both of my drives will not recognize the media...I use nero,120%, and DVD Decrypter.I have used many different types of media, both dvd and cd's.....My way around it is to unistall the drive in device manager and then let it 'scan for hardware changes' by right clicking the 'dvd/cd rom drives'.....the drive then will burn my media until I reboot my pc...there must be some type of conflict or software prob,I do not think it's a hardware error....please help, thanks

    Righto - Dvd drive firmware:
    http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/FIRMWARE/LG/LG-GSA-4167B.shtml

To find out your drive make model run nero info tool or you can right click drive and hit propeeties --> hardware and it should be listed there i think...

So updating your firmware (incase you didn't know :)) updates your drives with all the latest disk codes so it can read them etc etc.

    Get back to me,

    Oh good :D

It's usually the problem; firmware. So happy burning.

What about your other burner, is that not a problem or if so post your make - if youve found it lol

    So happy burning! :)
