    Hi.

I'm watching divx files that has subtitles using my DVD player's USB port, which is an LG DX-EX50 (Japan only). Whenever I play these divx files, the screen is unusually scrunched up, i.e. peoples' faces are quite long, and the very bottom of the screen is ever so slightly cut off, so that when I see a subtitle, I can generally just barely make it out because I can see the top half of the letters.

I'm watching on a reaaaaaaally crappy 17" old square TV, no widescreen at all, and no options to make the images widescreen (i.e. letterbox).

    Help please :)

The DVD player is setup to output to a 4:3 TV?

    Thanks for the reply.

I changed the settings on the DVD player to multiple different configurations, 16:9, letterbox on, and so on. Nothing changed the image. The TV itself has no image configuration options aside from the basic brightness and whatnot.
