I just won a bid of 100 usd for a used AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000 + 939 Winchester ? Is this a good price and decent cpu? Its not for gaming just for office work and internet use. Does anyone have one that can tell me pro's and cons?
that sounds like the price it would cost anyway for a new 3000 and its only 1.8GHz plus its already been used and you have no guarantee that it works a brand new athlon 3000 venice costs about £90 in the box dont know how it works out in dollars
Nah according to pricewatch sheapest I could find was 150.00. But is it a good processor consider its out of date by two years?

The most important thing is that you saved a few bucks and if it does the job for you, Great! I haven't have a CPU go bad yet and I overclock!
This processor is not out of date. We still have not seen a big jump from 32-bit to 64-bit. IT will do wonders for you. I upgraded from a celeron 1.8 to athlon 2800+ overclocked 235 mhz. You can run how ever may programs you want at the sametime. Wordpad, with bitlord, and the internet open, and instant messanging. Just a wonderful cpu overall stays cool most of the time.
