Just a quick question. The new game, Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story has some new protection that causes a freeze on the save select screen. I have an M3 Real and there is a new touchpod firmware that is supposed to work, but I would rather stick with sakura if possible. The newest sakura firmware still crashes on the game, even with the patch that is supposed to fix the error. Anyone know anything I'm missing or do I need to wait for a new sakura version?
There is a "pre-patched" version floating around that works on M3Real/G6Real. I don't have an M3 to test, but it works on my G6Real.
If it's the same pre-patched version I found then it still crashes. The one I found is 89.2 MB (93,613,056 bytes)
Sounds like the same one. there are reports that it works with the latest M3 software. I am not familiar with the different types of M3 software, so I can't help much beyond that.
It does work on the latest touchpod firmware, but not sakura. And since I have 4 gigs worth of games it takes a LONG time to navigate through them all with touchpod. I've been doing some reading and it seems that this game has two anti-piracy features, and the patch only removes one. So we either have to wait for a patch that removes them both, or a sakura update that's compatible.
You can download a from GBATemp.net / Forums / M3 adapter, top sticky=Sakura / Page 1 (sorry would have put the link but the site is down at the moment) The file has the touchpod update in, sakura for other games touchpod for Mario, so if you want to play Mario, put it in a new folder and on start up in touchpod (A on start up) if Mario is in its own folder it does not take long to load once you have pointed touchpod to the folder. To play other games switch back to Sakura. New version of Sakura is due within the week!
Thanks kittymat! I had tried dual booting sakura and touchpod before but the version I found wasnt the most recent touchpod so it crashed anyway. I'll use that version until the new sakura is released.
