a free to air reciever and dish pointed at the sky satellite will give you lots of free channels. bbc 1,2,3,4 and itv 1,2,3,4 and ch4, e4 more4, film4,ch5, cbs reality, cbs drama, cbs action, movies for men,the horror channel and more including lots of music channels and kids tv etc all free. in ireland i can get a reciever and dish installed for around €175 a once of fee and no need to pay sky ever.

have a look at your neighbours houses ,if any have a sky dish just point yours in the same direction(make sure there are no obstructions like trees etc)hook your box up to your tv and get a mate to watch it for you if you can, dont tighten the nuts fully on the dish as you will most likely need to tweak it(the sky satellite signal is quite strong and so its easy enough to find it)when your happy with the signal carefully tighten the nuts.if there are no dishes on the houses near you to help you find the way to point the dish, just point it south and then a little to the left.
