Box t installation issues

Hi, I got a box t and have downloaded the software to my laptop. When i connect up the box to my laptop, i clicked on the box-T loader and the grey box opened. When i select the bin file (The_Box-T__V1_api.bin) and click Download i get a box come up saying Can't Open Serial Port, Last Error: The system cannot find the file specified. Does anyone know what is going wrong here and how to fix it? Many thanks

 

You need to use Gtromloader 4.03 to load the firmware. Look in Eamos at the end of my post.

actually I went into thebox folder and downloaded v4.03_051005.exe and saved it to my desktop. I then opened it and clicked on bin file and clicked on the_box-t_v1_api and it is still coming up with the same message. Thanks

 

Did you get the firmware in Eamos?

 

Which one is the firmware? I downloaded the v4.03_051005.exe file from the software folder within "The Box" folder. Is there something else I need to download? If so, do you have the exact file name?

 

There are only two files, one is the loader which you have. The other is the firmware. The Box T folder is here

 

Ok. I downloaded the bin file and the firmware and saved them to my desktop. Then I opened the firmware, clicked on the BIN file and selected the The_Box-T__V1_api.bin file. The same error message came up that I mentioned above.

 

What cable/cables are you using and what is your OS?

 

i am using the rs232 cable that came with the box t and using a serial converter to hook it up to the laptop. the operating system is vista.

 

Have you loaded the USB driver for the adapter and set up the correct Comm Port?
