lol. who's cable boxes are down what's the provider, what box and what's wrong.

My box is down too, and my neighbour's, Fife Scotland (Virg). I have the latest auto-roll whatsit but no channels. First one to give me correct numbers gets a gold star. )). Thanks in advance. It's a starview btw.

 

If you have the correct firmw@re on the b0x it should autoroll.
menu > 1570
Turn EMU on
Set Default key
exit to s*y sports & see if it updates.
But more than likely its a cc problem.

 

I have the latest firmware on the box but very occasionally, (as happened in April) it does not roll, and neighbours with the same boxes are experiencing the same. I have the original starview. According to my provider there are no maintenance issues in my area.

Very surprised to find out that passing on codes is not allowed on this web-site any more, so I really don't know why i'm here, lol, unless someone can provide me with an alternative site which can help. Please private messase me if you can pass on any useful info. Thanks again.

 

Forgot to mention I have the original SV and not SV 2. My SV2 friends haven't phoned me with any probs but asking them to press menu 1570 etc. etc. to give me numbers is like asking a cow to peel the potatoes, it's too hard for them ;(.
Has there been a new firmware for the original SV in the last couple of months? Because, if not, then we all have the latest and they should be auto-rolling, but aren't. (as I mentioned previously, was the case in april when it was going down twice a day for a few days).

 

have you pressed menu 1570 and pressed ok on the set autodefault key,then go to sly movies and see does it update for you.

Thanks guys. I managed to get numbers from a friend and got it all working. BUT - when I read your message I thought I'd have a look at that auto-default key you mentioned and now my channels have vanished again
I Scrolled down to auto-default, pressed okay, expecting a box to open to say ON or OFF, (because there's no on/off option where it says auto-default), a box says "saving information" and now I have no channels. What happened here?

Cancel that, I just punched codes in again, 1 number had changed but it's okay now. I guess I'll just stay away from that auto-default key from now on. Thanks anyway. )))

SWITCH OFF ya box at the plug on slysports channel and switch box straight back on again.. it will autoroll then

have you the new firmware in your box and if so go to slysports and unplug ya box then plug it back in and it should autoroll again
