Hi am a bit of newbie at burning and am having a few problems...i searched to forum and found alot of answers but not all the answers i ws looking for so here goes...

I have a DVD burner and i don't want to backup my DVD library...i download movies either in 2 parts or 1 in AVI formats and then i hope to burn them.... I am currently using WInavi to convert and burn my AVI to VOB...the problems i have been having are..

    1) the menu i make and then place in the TS_VIDEO folder don't work..more specifically the chapter selection...they appear but when i click on the chapter it doesn't work...(I Use TMPEMG DVd something..)

2)the movie freezes on my TV sometimes and i cant restart it. I Use cheap DVD-R called Vision...

    3) the movie starts when i put it in my DVD player and my main menu doesn't show up and i have to press Menu to get it..

    4) the picture is not as clear as on my computer...alot of little squarres (pixilation i think??)

    5) I was also wondering if there is way to burn the movie in way so the image fits on my tv perfectly, setting the dimension i guess.. I have a 24 inch LCD tv.

So what systems should i use to be converting and burning?
    What are the best DVD-R
    Anything would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

Well, as for media, the best you can get right now are the Sony MIJ, Verbatim Advanced Azo 16x certified, Taiyo Yuden, or (I think,) Ritek G05 media.
P.S. All my blank media is in +R format.
