Just got TheBox Super for a neighbour and wired it up but it's stuck on language page and neither hitting menu nor putting in passwords are shifting it. Can anyone advise please? Thanks.
Yes, the batteries are in the remote. I emailed the seller (ebayer) with details of the prob i'm having and he replied - "how you done a scan". ???????? I haven't done a scan 'cos of the problem stated above. Would a re-flash sort this out? If so, is it the same stuff I'd use for starview 2? Thank for any advice.
Have you tried pressing 'ok' on the remote to select English to see if that gets it off this screen ? If it wont do anything then yes try and reflash it with GTRom_Super_6.00e which can be found in the firmware link at the end of my post,open The Box Super folder and you'll see it in there.
Thanks CO19, yes I hit every button on the remote and nothing shifted. I'll re-flash later today. Thanks for the links, I'm sure that'll sort it. Still waiting for another reply from the seller to see what he suggests tho. His advert promises the best in aftercare and technical advice. "how you done a scan" lol. How helpful is that?
I know, sounds great (lol) but a reflash should sort it,if not then tell him you're sending it back for a replacement.
I just tried re-flashing this box again before sending back and it's still the same. As soon as flashing is complete the telly screen switches to a white page saying "the box super", then it's clicking and changing back to the language page, with no responce to remote. Thought I'd have one more try here for advice before looking out the bubble wrap. Thanks in advance
Thanks Sc0user, it's as I feared. I expect I'll have to wait another week before they give me a return address, and they wont pay the post. Very helpful seller this one , lol. I've explained the problem to them numerous times and they still want me to post the remote back. Duh!!!
