Bricked liteon any help appreciated

So yeah been pretty stupid really

Been running lt1.1 for ages.

Connected to live it did the update i was unaware of new security. Obviously afterwards it wouldnt play +r's

I attempted to reflash using jf, it erased the firmware and now the drive appears to be dead. I still have dummy.bin etc

It doesnt show up at all in jf - tried booting into dos with another machine and dosflash wont do anything with it.

am using via 6421 card and the same setup i flashed it with last time.

Anyone? would be very grateful as pulling my hair out here.

Will i need to get another liteon and spoof the key etc?

Are you doing it with the drive tray half open?

 

try using iprep and erase the drive .. after you have erased it turn off the drive and check if it opens or ejects. What tools are you using ?

 

even tho it says no drive detected under JF just run the ERASE LITEON command. Have your dummy.bin in source and 1.9 firmware in target then spoof key. Just follow the prompts after the erase liteon command. it will find your drive and get it into vendor mode to do the erase/write then outro

 

yeh i had to take it apart and press the tab in to get it half open.

 

is there any indicator on the drive itself (led etc) to show if the drive is getting power at all?

jf wouldnt read it for toffee.

What i did was booted up the pc with a dvdrw drive connected to the serial ata port got it to read that then swapped the lead to the 360 drive - picked it straight up.
