Things you need: 1. Crossover Cable (Different then an RJ-45 Cable, be careful.) 2. Computer relatively close to your xbox 3. Zone Alarm PRO and Commview (not exactly where to download there are links for commview all over the site and members have Zone Alarm Pro..) Ok so im guessing that you already have a router.. Your setup(after you buy the crossover cable) should be like this. Modem --> Router --> Computer --> Crossover Cable (from your computer not your router!) --> Xbox If your running windows xp all you have to do is go to Control Panel --> Network Connections then you should have 2 connections under LAN or High Speed, highlight them with your mouse and hit 'Bridge Connections' Voila now you have bridge your connections Now you have to sign onto xbox live and you have to get bungies ip.. This can be a little bit tricky as bungie is always frequently adding new ips to there servers. Make sure you know what ips were in Commview BEFORE you sign into Xbox live, Otherwise you wont know which ips are bungies. *Note* There are alot more IPs then one and you have to constantly keep updating otherwise when you go into matckmaking you will lagout. Now that you have the IPs add them to the Trusted list in Zone Alarm Pro. Block all of the other ips. Some of bungies Ips are: 65.59.234.161 65.59.232.25 65.59.232.6 207.46.246.6 207.46.246.254 65.59.234.163 65.59.234.162 (Thanks to xSiPx for these) I'll tell you the rest on AIM or Xbox Live GT = C0ldf1r3 Aim = enjOi desiGn I'll be on aim tonight and XBL tommrow and Sunday.
lies. u only need 65.59.234.161 and 65.59.232.6 and that is xbl not bungie , the first one was bungie. those are the only 2 u need.
If anyone here brideges, than i can mod you up, so send me a friend request and ill accept it. my gamertag is Xmaster92.
pacmayne the xbl servers change periodically and also it depends on where you are in the world, those servers are the ones that "you" need but other people will need different ones. easy way to find out is to run com view, log into xbl from the dash, log into xbl from the halo game and then log into a custom game, when you close the custom game this will give you yet a third ip, its easy to spot the ranges as you can tag the ip's in comview and watch the repeated connections.
wait so once you have bungie's ip in the trusted zone how do you block the other ips? do i also put the person who wants to be host in the trusted zone?
