Let me put this out before i start asking anything:
I dont want to bridge to cheat online. I need to bridge a connection because i dont want to buy a wireless adapter for 100+ dollars.
    anyway...
Ive been looking all over the place for info about how to do this
    and have done the following:

opened up my network connections, selected my wireless connection and connection 2, right clicked em' and pressed bridge.
it now says i have a network bridge, connected and firewalled, a wireless network, connected and firewalled and Connection 2, unplugged, firewalled.

whenever i plug my xbox into my ethernet port on my computer and try to go online it says to check the internet connection/cables.

ive used different ethernet cables, so i know thats not the problem
    i have a linksys WRT54GS...

    any help would be appreciated..
    thanks,
    -mad

Did you use regular ethernet cables, or crossover cables?

You'll need o crossover cable if you want to plug that xbox directly into your computer
