    I've heard that the setup has to be different if you want to bridge when you have a router. I have a modem connected with a crossover cable to my router which has one cord going to my computer and one going to my xbox. I am able to go to the network connections and bridge the two connections together perfectly. But then when i try to go to commview, i can't find any of the xbox live ip addresses or my friend's i'm in a party with. Is my setup wrong?

    Thanks, just one more quick question before you take a break from helping, how do I change the setup so it goes computer to xbox? Do I have to have the yellow crossover cable go from the computer to the xbox and which cord from the computer do i plug into the router?

    Internet->modem->router->computer->xbox(with crossover cable)

    computer must have two ethernet ports or one ethernet port and a ethernet to usb adapter.
