brighten the picture

    ive got a movie which i just d/l and i would like to know is there anyway to brighten the picture before i put it on to dvd?
    any help would be really good thanks all

    Well if it requires re-encoding then you can change the brightness when converting to MPEG-2. If it is already MPEG-2 you can change the brightness using a modified version of MPEG2 Requant.
