Brightness

    When I play divx videos, they appear to be too dark. I didn't always have this problem, but all of a sudden every time I play a video it is too dark. I keep having to fix the brightness and contrast everytime I play a video in the divx playa because it always goes back to the default. I tried going to the divx decoder configuration, but this seems to only affect divx movies playing in WMP. I prefer using the Divx playa for watching divx videos(quality is much better). Any suggestions?

    1. Open the movie up in VDub
    2. Video --> Filters
    3. Add --> Brightness/Contrast
    4. Set to your hearts content
    5. File --> Save AVI

    Did you install any new codecs?? it is quite possible that a new codec may have the file play back darker!
