Bring Back The Member Counter Display

    I liked this addition to the site when it was introduced. It displayed how many people were online and it could also indicate if there will be a server overload.

    If it could be boight back it would be great.

    Yeah i would also like to see it back but if i remember right there were some problems with it.

    The issue with the "users online" counter was that it added more pressure to our database servers, which are already in "about-to-die" status on daily basis. And as we thought that it was just a "fun addition", but nothing really urgent to the site's usefulness, it was reasonable to remove it in order to add little bit more oomph to the rest of the site by freeing up resources from db servers.

    Thanks for the info dRD. If AD changes to a better server could the counter be added to the site in the near future?

    would you really like a silly how many users are online counter over a faster loading site?

    It was handy when it was introduced then you could see how many ppl were online.

    Sobhy2406 the obvious answer would be no but I'm sure it can't hurt to ask why Admin removed it since it was already implimented. I fully understand that it was more of a "nice to have" than a "need to have " feature.
