I currently have 2 dvd burners in my Pentium D system with 1 gig ram. A samsung 16x TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552B TS12 (ATA) and an LG HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4167B DL13 (ATA).... eveyrthing was fine until a couple of days ago my Lg burner only reads and writes at 1.5-1.8x speed.... my samsung still works perfect.. could my lg have died? worn out? or was a setting changed? i havn't done much to incur this problem that i know of. i could use some help.. thank you..

Under device manager, Primare IDE properties the device was in PIO mode only.. i changed it to DMA if available, restarted, but it still says in Current Transfer Mode, PIO Mode..... what gives?
