I just got a qoob pro modchip and tried to install it in my gamecube. Now when I turn on my gamecube nothing happens and I when I connect it to my computer nothing happens either. It seems to be completely broken. I figure my options are: 1) Try to figure it out and fix the problem myself (which could take forever because I have no idea what i did wrong) 2) Send it to someone as it is to be professionally repaired 3) Take out the modchip and send it to a professional to install it. I would prefer to do option number 2, but i can't find any sites that repair modded gamecubes. Does anybody know of one? If not, does anybody have any better suggestions. I greatly regret trying to install the modchip myself instead of sending it to a professional, and now I'm probably gonna spend twice as much getting it fixed. Has anyone else run into a problem like this? Any help is greatly appreciated
Yes me. I ruined my first GC, Luckily I had warrenty, 5 days before it expired LOL. I got a new GC and paid a Japanese guy 80 bucks to install it. Best bet is look for local shops that do this type of stuff or an electrition? I hope you have warrenty.
How many years is the gamecube warranty? I got mine right when it first came out. And isn't the warranty void if you open up the system and try to modify it?
Well when I bought mines I had 1 year warrenty. Yours is long gone. But if you did have it, Just close the GC up, put in all the screws and take it to where you bought it and say, " WTF MAN ITS NOT WORKING GIMME MY MONEY BACK OR GIMME A NEW ONE!!!!!!!!". PS make sure you have removed the modchip.
