This is my first post here, but not on the web. Before anyone asks, yes, I did a search, and found one result that didn't help, but had the same problem I do. I think the other guy wasn't asking the right questions. I got this xbox off ebay, with a 30 day warranty btw. No hacked f/w or anything like that, just stock.

Anyhow, I took apart my 360 yesterday, and was cleaning it out (dusty) and when I went to unplug the sata cable from the mobo, the plastic piece on the actual board itself pulled off, taking with it all 4 of the shorter prongs leaving the long 3. Now, I didn't rip and tear at it, I didn't rock it back and forth either, I simply pulled straight up. It did give way rather easily, which makes me think someone had messed with it before. So, now Im a bit stumped with what to do...

I could get some small gauge wire and solder from the board, to the connector, and reattach it to the drive, but will this work? Or is there anything out there that will allow me to use the drive via USB?? Ive looked at the x360 USB, but the guides behind it, and the reasons for having it are so convoluted I really have no idea what the heck its for. I have no reason to connect the xbox to my pc, so will this work? And for the final question, should I just get another 360? Im no stranger to modding, so Im willing to try some things.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome, however please post in the 360 forum as this one isn't for 360 questions
