I keep getting random pop ups even though I have a pop up blocker. One is a golden casino web page, the other is an adult friend finder web page. Sometimes it'll be an alert box, the kind where you have to push OK for it to go away. In it that message will talk about how my computer is at risk and I should download some kind of software. When I hit OK it takes to me a page to download virus protection n all that.

I have run 3 spyware programs, and Ive run an antivirus full scan about 5 times. Everytime the spyware comes up with something I delete it. The antivirus never finds anything.

I found that when I switch to a different browser, I dont get those pop ups or anything. So does anyone know if there is an issue going on with INTERNET EXPLORER at the moment??

For now I am done using I.E. until I get the issue resolved. I am at my wits end with this though. Ive been running scans and checks all day.

It's just that IE is vulnerable to popups and spyware even if you have a popup blocker, so use the other browser instead.

One thing that will help with IE's browser popup problems, is using High Security.

Go to Tools, Internet Options. Click on the Privacy tab, check the box for Block Popups. Click on the Settings button, and in the bottom pull down menu, select "High: Block all popups CTRL to override".
