Can you post everything it says? Are you sure its not saying BAD_POOL_CALLER ?? *If so this issue stems from a faulty or incompatible hardware driver, particularly when upgrading Windows XP instead of performing a clean install. *This information taken out of Maximum PC Issue Vol. 11 #9
hi yeah it does say bad_pool_caller and i didn't take everything down like the error code. a faulty driver? i think the faulty driver might be my modem i don't have any other drivers that have ever gibven me any problem and i haven't ever had to reboot my computer. and my computer is 8 monthes old running win xp sp2. i also heard that it oculd be my memroy? any software or way to clean my ram?
I believe that if you do want to "clean" your ram a free and "clean" program that can do this is Free Ram XP Pro. Available at the following link http://www.download.com/FreeRAM-XP-Pro/3000-2086_4-10516960.html?tag=lst-0-2 But yes the problem you have does stem from a issue dealing with a driver. Your best bet would be to uninstall the driver for your modem. Restart windows without the modem inserted. Shut Down. Insert Modem. Boot Windows. Install Driver. Reboot.
