Building a computer

    Hello, My current computer is about 5 years old and I am thinking about building one myself(never done it before) I don't have a boatload of money to spend so what would you (the Experts) do? I'm into burning and a small amount of gameing.

    what is your budget, what is your current specs as might be able to use some of the parts to safe money & what type & level of gaming do you play??

    My budget is about $600-$700 as far as games all I play are the sports Games.MLB<NHL Nothing in this computer is worth saving, it will go to be used by my son, Thanks

    Buy Haynes 'Build your Computer'
    It's a must and you can't fail I'm a P.C engineer and I still refer to it sometimes my self when building a systen for a client.

    Find yourself a computer swapmeet and look at the deals.

    AMD Athlon2800
    gigabyte m/board
    512M RAM
    160G 7200 HD
    dual layer durner 16X
    Radeon 9600 w/TV out
    17" CRT

    Plus more with 12mths warranty $700-$850 New

    Look around its not always cheaper to build it yourself!
