Hello all.newbie here to AfterDawn. very nice site i must say.

I am building a new PC within the next 3 months. I already have a case and Mother Board. I would like to have some input on ANY type of proccessor (intel). Dual or Quad core. We do alot of ripping and have gotten into playing games.nothing big time yet.
i have the Antec 900 case and a Gigaybte Ga-EP35-DS3P Mother board.
any info on other parts i may need would be a great help.

Not really man - how about $575?

But yeah, I like krj15489's choice of parts. Since the 4870 is a bit much for you, how about a 4850? Those are $100 cheaper.

Good links guys. If you go with the GPU Krj linked to you can still get the Quad core Q6600. and still be inyou price range. you still have a couple months before you said you could do anything so the prices will/should drop some more.
hey a guy has to get what he can when he can with what he has.
