Hello everyone, thanks in advance for reading this and for your help.

I've been a console gamer for a long time, but for this generation I've decided to jump into the PC bandwagon. I want hook my PC to my TV and home theater and play just as if it were a console (except it will obviously look better). As you can guess, my TV's maximum resolution is 1920x1080, which is perfectly fine for me. I want to be able to play current games like watchdogs and BF4 and future games like Arkham Knight and Witcher 3, at the highest detail possible.

I was thinking of going with a Core i7 4770 with 8GB of RAM, and a GeForce GTX 780, but then I found out that a GPU like that would be overkill for 1080p gaming. I'm not interested in anything higher than 1080p or dual monitors or anything like that. I also don't know anything about overclocking nor do I think that I'll need it for what I'm aiming for. Also, I'm very conscious about power consumption. So, I'm looking for help in putting together a PC for gaming at 1080p and ultra specs, could you recommend a GPU? Maybe the GeForce 770 is right for me?
Thanks a lot for your help, and please excuse my english since it's not my native language.

All depends on your budget but i7 or fx8350 would be great and GTX 780 would be a good choice. i7 is not an overkill with TV's as you will always be set up for any future TV you may hook up to with higher resolution. You may as well go for future as well as present.
